Lush: The sweetest thing gift box + big sea salt shampoo ♡

When I'd run out of shampoo I decided to stop by Lush to try out a new one! I ended up buying the Big Sea Salt Shampoo because it was bursting full of moisture when it was added to water and the sea salt bits were really cool. Also I couldn't resist picking up The Sweetest Thing gift box to try out as well!

Big Sea Salt Shampoo ~ £11.25 ♡

"Have a big hair day

We love salt on the hair because it’s great for giving volume. We experimented with it for a very long time before coming up with this, our ultimate salt shampoo."

When I use this shampoo, the smell and texture of my hair reminds me of being at the seaside again! It smells really good and when it is added to water it feels silky. Only a small amount is needed for my thick hair to give a good lather although you can use more if you want to. Sometimes there is a tiny, tiny amount of salt residue left in my hair but it is unnoticeable unless you comb through it thoroughly. Usually all of the salt dissolves in the water. I feel that using this shampoo has also made it super-fast to dry my hair - only 10 minutes! My boyfriend has also complimented me on the smell of my hair and uses this shampoo himself. It gives a little volume, feels light and airy and cleanses product build-up in the hair. Must be careful not to drop this open in the bath though! x[

The packaging is really cute and also included is a products leaflet with ingredients listed and of course colourful Ecoflo puffs to protect the contents from bumps.

Shimmy Shimmy Glitter Bar ♡

"Smooth this vanilla-scented shimmy all over your skin and sparkle like a disco diva!" 

This cute little heart-shaped bar smells like white chocolate and is full of golden shimmers. It can be used to highlight legs or the collarbone, but is subtle enough to use all over the body daily without a bronzing effect. It is lovely and creamy. It also lasts a really long time - I still have another one given to me from last Christmas! I'd recommend using this often as it'll go a little icky over a long time.

Sweetie Pie Shower Jelly ~ £3.10 (100g sold individually) ♡

"If a bar of soap and a bottle of shower gel had a steamy affair, this would be the resulting jelly baby 

Cherries, coconut, jelly and sparkles – this is a party in a pot. Makes every day feel like it’s your birthday. 

This is a sweet, sweet little cutie-pie. We start this jelly by making an infusion with cherries and coconut, we then add carrageen seaweed and boil it up until it turns all jelly and wobbly on us. Then we have to get it into the mould quickly, before it sets in the pan!"

This is by far my favourite product from this set! It's all squidgy and smells like sweeties, so I always end up playing around with it in the bath. Because it is very slippery and can be a little bit hard to use. The purple colour is gorgeous and it is full of glitters. I think this product would go great with a Space Girl bath bomb!

The Godmother Soap ~ £2.95 (100g sold individually) ♡

"For hands that do more than just wishes

Godmother is much kinder on your skin than liquid soap, which is full of preservatives and antibacterial chemicals. Stop using those nasty pump soaps please and switch to this. Keep a bar by your kitchen sink and reach for it whenever you need to wash your hands. Use it all around the house – perfect for washing after any household chores." 

This soap smells like candyfloss and I only need a small amount to clean my hands. Usually my hands are really dry after I wash them so I have to use hand creams, but this soap is gentle and leaves my hands soft and feeling moisturised. The star shape also make this an awesome addition to the bathroom or kitchen.

Something a little lush ♡

Lush is a wonderful cosmetics company based in the UK who put their customers, values and ethics at the forefront of everything that they do.  Visiting Lush stores are always a fantastic experience and the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable about their products. I bought three bath bombs which I'll be showing you guys today: Sex Bomb, Space Girl and Tisty Tosty!

Sex Bomb ♡ £3.20

"Grab one of these for a wonderful sensual bath 

Grabbing a pair is even better!

This ballistic is packed full of every sensual, relaxing oil we could find. Clary sage, jasmine and ylang ylang, blended into a classic musk base. We then packed it full of soya milk, so you can step out of the bath feeling like Cleopatra."

Hehe, don't you just love the name of this bomb? I was attracted to this one because its colours are so pretty and the rose detail is just adorable. It gives off a lovely fuschia colour in the water and has a subtle floral smell that lingers in your hair long after your bath. The rose is made of rice paper which goes squidgy and floats in the water. It reminds me of the decorative roses you might find accompanying dishes in Chinese restaurants or cakes (don't try to eat these ones though, hehe!). n__n I found this bomb made my bath time really relaxing and it was also moisturising on the skin and hair.

Space Girl ♡ £2.10

"Do you sometimes feel like you’re on a different planet? Don’t feel alien - retreat to the bathroom to float in your own personal space until you feel ready for touch down

Of course, if we were making an interstellar ballistic we had to put space dust in it (otherwise known as popping candy). So make sure you plunge your head underwater if you want to hear the full effects of the crackles and pops."

I love that this bomb looks like a sparkly little planet! It's a dusty blue colour with pretty hot pink and silver glitters, and smells fresh and subtle. I liked the deep blue colour this bomb turned the water, but I didn't think there was enough glitter for my liking. :{ This was not as explosive as I thought it'd be and I didn't really hear much in the way of crackles and pops. However, this bomb is fair for the price and it moisturised my skin. I think they should put little sparkly stars in it! :B

Tisty Tosty ♡ £3.20

How romantic is this bath bomb? It's a white heart embellished with dried lilac rosebuds. The roses were really cute, but there just wasn't enough of them. :{ It smelled lovely and moisturised, but I wasn't hugely impressed. This is a cute concept though.
